Dear Ms. Julie Gutowski;

We have a new inquiry of 2 rolls explained as follows:

The rolls will be used in a CAL (Continuous Annealing Line).
The material quality of the strip which passes through these rolls is non-grain oriented electrical steel.
Furnace temp: 500-700 C

1. The Rolls will be delivered to you as finished condition and as per the attached drawing,

2. The roll will be ground by us to obtain the geometric tolerances, so the Ra will be 1.6. If it needs surface roughening before coating, it must be done by you. Please specify what kind of blasting you will be using. (type of blasting and blasting material) You may use an AL2O3 air blasting system.

3. The Ra after Coating is specified as Ra= 5 µm +/- 1,

4. Please specify the Coating process as below:

-Zirconium Oxide Coating,
- Final Coating of thickness= Complete Coating thickness 150 µm +/- 20,
-Bonding quality > 10.000 psi,

5. The customer also requests a bonding test. Please offer the cost optionally and advise the related standard. We can provide you the test specimen; please suggest the shape and size of the test specimen (plate or round?),

The bonding test will be done by our customer, so we will send you the 2 test specimens (plate size: 10 x 100 x 150 mm) for Coating and receive them back for testing,

6. Can the bonding test be done by bending the test specimen? (This simulates the bending of the roll during rotating),
